Fast, fun single track that offers every level of racer something to look forward to. This race is dedicated to the life of Stan Crane, an avid mountain bike racer and proponent of the sport we all love. Stan Crane died on February 18th, 2006, but we will never forget the passion he put into this sport.
Utilizing the excellent trail system of Corner Canyon, as well as the newly created Draper City mountain bike park, the 2015 Stan Crane memorial course offered up a 7.2 mile lap with approximately 676 feet of climbing. This was a slightly altered course due to the wet weather, but expect something in that range. Starting from the Draper City Mountain bike park and offering up a healthy dose of singletrack, much of which is fast and flowing, this course will keep you on your toes and has the potential to offer up a tactical race. Run in a counter-clockwise direction, trail highlights include Lower Canyon, Draper Alpine Road, Aqueduct Trail, Rattler Trail, Ghost Falls Trail, Gasline Trail, B.S.T, Coyote Hollow, Creekview and Lower Canyon back to the start/finish. The sections in the Draper City bike park offer up spectator friendly viewing complete with A/B line technical options and flow-style trails.
